The government offered 'Bounce Back' loans to businesses struggling as a result of the covid-19 pandemic and associated restrictions. The loans were up to £50,000 were government backed, protecting the lender if the business failed to repay. The first twelve months of the loans were interest free, but now those payments are due and many businesses say they aren't in a position to pay yet.
